THE Museum of Somerset in Taunton whisked visitors a century back in time with a First World War day.
Re-enactors explained how men were recruited to the army, and displayed some of the weaponry and equipment they would have used.
British Red Cross nurses showed how to dress bandages, while guests were also invited to take a mock medical exam.
The event on Sunday was part of the museum’s First World War centenary commemorations.
