AN EXCITING Saxon-themed day will be held at The Museum of Somerset in Taunton, on Easter Monday, (April 6) from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
Families will be able to enjoy a Living History day with a range of activities including coil pot making and wood-turning on a pole lathe.
They will be able to get expert tuition on stone carving from Nick Durnan, a Somerset sculptor.
There will also be Saxon games to play, trails and much more.
Susie Simmons, Visitor Services manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to use the museum courtyard for this event, as it makes such a stunning venue.
“After the success of the visit of the Alfred Jewel, we are pleased to be able to offer an event which helps us understand more about life during Saxon times.”
Entrance to the Saxon-themed day is free.
