FOLLOWING months of construction Minehead's new Lidl store is set to open next Thursday.

The store will be opening its doors to customers at 8am and the Mayor of Minehead Jean Parbook will be in attendance to cut the ribbon.

The first week will feature a number of special offers to try and entice new customers.

The new 1,464m² store has created 40 new jobs and will include an in-store bakery, customer toilets, baby changing facilities and parking for both cars and bicycles.

Lidl UK’s Regional Head of Property, James Mitchell said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Minehead. It is wonderful for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
