Glam rock royalty, Sweet, have announced a comeback tour for this December called 'Full Circle'.

The British band, known for shaking music realms for six decades, are geared up to perform their renowned anthems to fans across the UK.

Featuring West Country guitarist and vocalist Andy Scott, the only surviving original band member, Sweet show no signs of slowing down.

Andy Scott, fiercely protective of the band's legacy, hints that this tour could be the band's last, but says it will not be the last you see of them.

He said: "This could be our last tour, but that doesn't mean to say we're not going to do any more gigs, just that we might not be doing 15-20 dates strung together.

"Then again, we might!"

Somerset County Gazette: Sweet's Full Circle Tour stretches over 13 dates and will kick-off in Wrexham

Sweet have bagged 15 phenomenal top-40 hits in the 1970s, with eight reaching the top five.

Their iconic 1973 UK No. 1 'Blockbuster' is the star of an iconic set list.

Andy Scott, along with current band members Paul Manzi, Bruce Bisland, Lee Small and Tom Cory, plan to keep this live spark alive.

The current line-up has gained chart popularity with recent single releases too.

Their Full Circle Tour, stretching over 13 dates, will kick-off in Wrexham on December 1 and conclude in Frome, Somerset on December 23.

Wrexham holds a special place in Andy's heart, having hosted his first gig at a church hall 60 years ago.

Audiences can anticipate masterpieces spanning from the breakthrough hit 'Co-Co' in 1970 to 1978's 'Love is like Oxygen' and everything in between and beyond, including unforgettable classics such as 'The Ballroom Blitz', 'Fox on the Run', and 'Hellraiser'.

With 53 years of hit singles, 55 million albums and 34 number one tracks to their name, Sweet is testimony to a band that has truly weathered time.
