FUNDING has been granted to a popular Somerset music and entertainment venue to allow it to host a series of concerts aimed at young people.
The Cheese and Grain in Frome has been successful in a bid for funding from Arts Council England in order to enable the idea.
The series of performances will be aimed at young local audiences and up-and-coming artists between the ages of 18 and 34.
Any local artists interested in being part of the initiative should contact thetreehouse@cheeseandgrain.com to register their interest.
All of the shows will be held at the Cheese and Grain's sister venue - The Tree House, on Berkley Road - and will run throughout the first half of 2024.
A spokesperson for the Cheese and Grain said: "We are delighted to share some very exciting news to kick-start 2024.
"The Cheese and Grain have been successful in a bid to Arts Council England for funding to help run a series of concerts targeted at engaging younger local audiences and emerging artists.
"More details about events to follow very soon."
