TAUNTON Titans produced a gritty second half performance to beat Redruth 24-17 in National 2 (S) at Hyde Park this afternoon.
The Titans were stunned by two forward-inspired tries from the visitors late in the first period to trail 17-10 at the interval.
But a simple penalty from man-of-the-match Gary Kingdom soon after the break settled any nerves and they went on to score 14 second half points without reply.
Redruth never gave up, and with 42 minutes on the clock a floated pass only just eluded the clutches of their left winger who looked certain to score.
But Titans held on to claim their sixth win in seven matches and maintain their unbeaten home record.
